Before/After Care Issues
Thank you to all our allies in the school system, county, and state government who are helping to resolve the child care issue at Harford Hills next week. Our first priority is to making sure that the 15 families affected have care on this first week of school.
Dr. Jennifer Lynch from the County Executive’s office has promised to work with MSDE throughout the weekend to assure that the Hot Spots program will be open as soon as possible, hopefully as early as Monday. We will post options as they are provided to us. If you know anyone affected please encourage them to reach out.
HotSpots Open Delayed to 9/8
HotSpots before and after school care program at Harford Hills Elementary will not be able to open on Monday, August 30 “due to a delay in licensing.” The new anticipated opening date is Wednesday, September 8.
Back-to-school packet mail delays
All Back-to-School letters were mailed on August 13, but some families have not yet received them. If you are one of these families, please check your email for a note from Principal Bull with first day information, and call the school to find who your student’s teacher is.
Reengagement Letter
BCPS has sent a reengagement letter which discusses student information, first day of school, extracurriculars, academics, assessments, the reopening plan and other important information for parents.
